Meclizine hydrochloride is used for the prevention and treatment of the nausea, vomiting or dizziness associated with motion sickness.
Meclizine How To Take
Meclizine oral dosage is 25 to 50 mg (1 to 2 tablets) once daily or as directed by a doctor.
Meclizine Side Effects
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, let your doctor know as soon as possible. Only your doctor can decide if it is safe for you to continue taking Meclizine.

Meclizine Medical Precautions
If you have asthma, glaucoma, or an enlarged prostate gland, check with your doctor before using Meclizine (Antivert). If you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to Antivert or similar drugs, do not take this drug. Make sure that your doctor is aware of any drug reactions you have experienced.
Meclizine Missed Dosages
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses at the same time.
Meclizine Storage
Store at controlled room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).

Meclizine Drug Interactions
Meclizine may intensify the effects of alcohol. Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication.
Meclizine Medical Notes
Studies regarding the use of Meclizine in pregnant women do not indicate that this drug increases the risk of abnormalities. However, if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor before using Antivert. Check with him, too, if you are breastfeeding your baby.
